Tanda Tula Field Camp

Situated within the TIMBAVATI PRIVATE NATURE RESERVE, Tanda Tula Field Camp is situated on its own 6500 Ha property.  This means that you will have this entire area to yourself and your cycling buddies.

Cycling in Timbavati is one of the prime experiences one can ever hope to experience.  Having achieved a clever balance between lodge development and extensive open wilderness areas, Timbavati is one of the few remaining reserves that brings back the true wilds of Africa written about in the vivid stories of old.

The philosophy and practices behind the Tanda Tula Field Camp are similar to those of the early explorer camps of Africa- the camp is set up and taken down for each exclusive use safari and the locations will vary throughout the year depending on the seasons, game activities and cycling options. With a private guide, chef, camp host and dedicated camp staff, service is prime and offers you unobstructed comfort as and when you return from cycling activities and take time to relax in camp.   This is truly Africa at its best and a phenomenal blend of luxury and comfort while immersing yourself in the true essence of Africa and an Intimate experiences beyond imagination.

The 4 “explorer tents” are configured to suit each individual group of travelers, with a maximum of 8 guests.  Each tent has its own outdoor bathroom with hot water bucket shower, eco loo and amenities.

The camp features an elegant mess tent with a full field bar and campaign styled furnishings.  There is no electricity. The camp features oil and solar lanterns.   There is limited cell phone coverage, and we encourage our guests to keep their phones on silent throughout their stay.

There is no swimming pool as this is a non-permanent field camp.
