The “Super-close-to-nature” Option, is a one-of-a-kind mobile safari experience in South Africa combined together with the unique option of Big 5 cycles, makes this an experience beyond experiences. This option is truly for true adventurers and nature lovers who are looking for a cycling safari experience like no other. The unique experience is designed to offer 3 nights camping in the Maseke Balule Game Reserve, each night in a different location.
Each day is spent cycling through the 8000 hectare reserve in the Greater Kruger Park, and each night is spent at a new, fully set up mobile campsite in a scenic location. A maximum of 8 guests (sleeping in 4 tents) are taken on this cycling adventure of a lifetime. Cycling distances can be adjusted as per group requirements and needs.
The Olifants River courses through the reserve, while prominent mountainous ridges and boulder koppies characterise the terrain, making it an incredibly diverse and interesting region to explore on your bicycle and will make for varied and exciting cycling options.
Accommodation is in true camping style with Maseke Wilderness Trails. The campsites are entirely mobile, leaving no trace behind each day when the location is changed. The ground team will break down the tents and pitch the camp in the day’s new location, so that when guests arrive after an adrenalin-fuelled, or chilled cycle in the bush, their tents, bush bathrooms, and bucket showers are ready and waiting.
The idea behind this eco-trails experience is for guests to discover details of the Kruger Park on a far more intimate level, and to learn from the experts as you cycle carefully among the wildlife. The environment is completely cared for through the eco-friendly and low impact nature of the campsites.
